I run Dandy Fatties and I’m really excited to be co-modding this space during Fatshion February. As a fat, gender non-conforming, poc, I wanted to help mod this space to show a different side of fatshion. It is extremely important for people like myself to participate this time around because visibility is so necessary. With that said, my main objective is to hopefully encourage other queers, poc, non-binary, masculine of center folk to participate more this year. I’ll be all over tumblr looking for folks to reblog because I know we exist. I can’t wait to be inspired by everyone’s fatshion and occasionally posting my ensembles too. Just a note: we’ve changed our link to dandyfatties.tumblr.com. We loved fancyandfat, and still identify as such, but we didn’t want to cause any confusion or misrepresent ourselves with Fat Fancy, the wonderful Portland store. We also feel it suits what we’re aiming to be, which is queer and non gender conforming.
